Cuddle Clones Donates $700 to The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals
The American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) was the first humane society established in North America and is now one of the largest, most impactful in the world. The organization was founded with the belief that animals are entitled to kind and respectful treatment at the hands of humans. Their mission is to provide effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals throughout the United States. In 2016 alone, the ASPCA rescued/assisted 10,578 animals, had 4,290 animals adopted from their Adoption Center, and performed 85,151 spray/neuter surgeries.
In 2014 the organization partnered with the New York City Police Department (NYPD) to work together for the animals in New York City. The partnership involves the NYPD taking the lead role in animal cruelty complains while the ASPCA expanded its direct care for the victims by providing critical support such as forensic evaluations, medical treatments, behavior assessments, housing and placements, and backup legal support and training. In 2016 alone, this partnership lead to 969 animals being treated by the ASPCA, and 153 animal cruelty arrests.
Cuddle Clones is proud to help support the ASPCA as it continues to fight animal cruelty and improve the lives of animals. You can learn more about the ASPCA by visiting their website here.
