Cuddle Clones Just Donated $500 to Annie’s Treatment and Final Expenses.
Annie was the sweetest 12 and half-year-old black lab and she was her daddy’s baby. She was diagnosed with pneumonia on Dec 15th, 2017. After going to the vet and being put on antibiotics and antinausea medicine she seemed to be doing well. She was eating and playing just like normal. With 2 days left of her antibiotics, she suddenly took a turn for the worse. So she went back to the vet and was given a stronger antibiotic and more antinausea medicine as well as a full respiratory panel. After two days it seemed that medicine wasn’t working either. She wasn’t eating or moving and breathing had gotten to be extremely labored. She would still drink, so we mixed Pedialyte with her water to try and keep her hydrated. On the third day, she went back to the vet and had blood work and was given fluids.
At that point, it was suggested to check her into the Blue Pearl emergency animal hospital so she could get IV antibiotics and fluids as well as be in an oxygen box due to her decreased lung function. This type of care is extremely expensive. They said that her health besides this sickness was good, but after more X-rays, in the coming days her right lung had gotten worse and based on this, the vet thought the lung problem was a tumor. After multiple days in the ICU and seeing her in pain her parents made the decision to let her rest peacefully. She was in their arms as she went and she will be missed immensely.
